Another weird thing I found. The preset "Funky Electricity" in Arksun cityscape has both, a macro and an envelope controlling the post filter in the effects section. This isn't entirely improbable, but it is a pretty strange design choice. We only get one filter, and it changes the character of the patch quite substantially. I would have thought the patch would have its own filter, which we control from the "filter" macro on the front panel, entirely separate from the post filter.
I think some quality control guidelines for patch creators should be amended, if they don't already exist. See, a lot of patches have a basic filter macro setup on one of precious few sliders, when they could have easily left that functionality to the, now redundant, filter controls on the front panel. It's a similar story with the effects in use. Delay and reverb are accessible from the front panel. The only excuse for a macro here, is if you modulate, say, level and feedback all at once (IE, a multi-parameter) Otherwise, we end up with redundant controls and wasted shaping possibilities.
