I think the step sequencer in FL Studio 11 was more convenient than the one we have today. It didn't really need any new features or a redesign in the first place. In my experience, the reintroduced step sequencer in FL Studio 20 was a drag to my workflow, removing the very convenient keyboard editor and complicating how pattern resizing works. I don't know about others, but I personally had a better time sequencing beats using the keyboard editor and being able to automatically rescale the size of patterns by simply increasing or decreasing the number of bars.
I would like to propose that these features be brought back.
