Layer should have option on right-lick in the channel menu to add new intrument
Even though I know that layer is there only for backwards compatibility I still use it a lot and it would be great it there was an option to add a plugin to the channel rack from the layer - right click on the layer in the channel rack - add new plugin as a child and here we would get a plugin list. It would speed up adding plugins as children and it would cut out opening layer.
