How to midi loop record and create new track with each pass?

Hello,
I searched quite a bit but could not find the answer to this.
I'm wondering how to do midi loop recording where each recording pass
creates a new track in the Playlist. Is this possible?
Like with audio loop recording, where each recording pass creates a new track.

So just to test, I have one bar selected in the Playlist.
I have midi keyboard hooked up and midi enabled etc.
I have one bar selected in the Playlist.
Track one has a simple beat with FPC.
I have loop recording enabled.
I have record enabled, and I press play to start recording.
When the one bar is finished, I was hoping to see a new track automatically created
in the Playlist upon each pass, just like when doing the audio loop recording.
But instead only one new pattern and one new track is created,
and the recording passes keep looping through the one pattern/track.

Thanks for any ideas. Maybe I'm overlooking something simple.
Or maybe midi recording does not create new tracks with each pass?
