This would help in many situations when dealing with random generative chains of plugins and many other scenarios when you want to chop a recording that doesn't have an easy way to detect transients. Instead of having to manually chop each note when a generator played, time markers will do the job for you, exactly when the note starts/ends.
Many times Auto-slicing completely fails the task when there are no sensible transients or there's an endless stream of audio. The waveform could look like a big long sausage (tricking auto-slice to think is just one long note) but the audio content could be completely different every note played.
In these situations Auto-slicing fails miserably but Time markers would not. They'd be recorded together with the audio stream and once you slice the recording you'll end again with a perfectly midi synced sliced audio.
Really hope to see that implemented.
Thank you
