Akai mk249 stop/play/record mapping

My 249 isn’t on the list. It’s got a configuration on the controller itself, but it’s out of date. No big deal in itself since most things can be mapped manually, but why am I not finding an option to map play/record/ff etc. It seems so obvious since I’m sure they had to know people would want to map record to foot pedals and things. I must be missing something.

TL:DR you can map pretty much everything. How do you map stop/start/record/fast forward.
