musical/audio terminology.

I made a realization today, that the fundamental difference between a pattern playing C4 and the same pattern played on a different octave, such as C3, is like the difference between two copies of the same shape, but one has a darker shade, than the other.

I imagine perfect pitch would be like waking up to a world of colors.
