I am wondering if the attack control on the master band of maximus can function as it does in other compressors by allowing more transient through with higher attack times.
Since the attack control on the master band of maximus simultaneously increases the look ahead delay I can't seem to significantly increase how much transient is let through. Higher attack values create more of a ramp up in the band gain envelope but simultaneously move it ahead of the audio being processed. This is great for limiting but what if you want to use it just for compression?
