Channel rack Sample Playlist

Hello guys, I have been using fl studio now for a while and was allways making beats directly trough the Playlist. Now I switched to the channel rack what makes it way more easy. I just have one problem. When I want to use a sample that I downloaden, when I put the sample in the channel rack it will loop and sound horrible because the sounds keep playing trough each other . And if I put the sample into the Playlist , I cannot hear the sounds from my channel rack because its not in the pattern that im making the rest in. If I press song it will play the sample if its in the Playlist but I cannot hear the rest then. Can anybody please help me?
