Creating large taiko-style drums?

Hello all,

I've been messing around with Drumaxx a bit trying to create some nice fat-sounding large percussion, like taiko drums or similar (think of the drums used throughout the Batman Begins score, for instance). Increasing the drum head size and adjusting the tension don't seem to be enough. I've looked at the "cinematic" kit, and it's...okay, but not quite there. Anyone have any luck putting together really large drums like this?
