Piano roll - mysterious shadow that I can't delete

Hi.

I dragged a loop from Komplete Kontrol into Pattern 8 on one of my songs and I can't get rid of it.

I tried Command-X to scoop it up but it doesn't work.

I've looked at other projects I have and it has copied to every Pattern of every project.

I have even opened a brand new project but the shadow is still there in every pattern clip in the piano roll. (attached)

It feels systemic. I don't know why it should be there in a brand-new song. I would just think it would only affect one.

It's defo done something very fundamental to FL.

can anyone help, I don't know what to do and it is visually annoying.
