Hi. I'm new to FL studio as of a couple of months and, wow, it's been a steep learning curve for me!
Yesterday I recorded a guitar arpeggio part. I decided to record the part piecemeal. I ended up with 4 different samples and I sent each of them to the playlist using the "send to playlist as audio clip" button.
At the playlist I renamed each one and even gave it a color!
I tend to be somewhat OCD about having extra audio files around so, on the Browser list, I deleted any "untitled" files.
I then saved the project and closed FL Studio. I then reopened the program just to have a look and I got a message saying that the untitled .wav files couldn't be found and all of my aptly named and beautifully colored audio files were gone from my playlist!
I searched my hard drive for the files with the names that I had given them and they weren't there. So, I lost all the work that I had done.
I thought that by renaming them on the playlist screen this would have saved the files. And I also thought saving the project before exiting would save the files as well.
What did I do wrong? -- Thanks!
