Bears the advantage that samples are straightforward to handle (drag and drop; no remapping necessary) and more samples can be evaluated.
To create your own bank, replace samples in the FPC by dragging each new sample onto the large waveform display of the respective slot (see pic for Version 2).
-------------------------------------
Version 4: Two variants:
- In v4-MUTE, the 'Sample Selector' knob goes from 1 to 32, but any setting greater than the 'Last Sample #' value (e.g. 21) is muted
- In v4-LAST, the 'Sample Selector' knob goes from 1 to 32, but any setting greater than the 'Last Sample #' value (e.g. 22) plays the last sample (Sample 22)
-------------------------------------
Version 3:
- allows to set the number of samples to be screened. For example, if setting the dial 'Last Sample #' to 17, only Samples 1 through 17 are played and samples 18 through 32 are ignored. The range of the 'Sample Selector' knob is adapted accordingly from Sample 1 (0%) to the last sample number (100%).
- a faux velocity sensitivity was implemented, i.e. the velocity of input notes controls playback volume.
-------------------------------------
Version 2:
- simplified map, now using VFX Level Scaler
- 'Sample Random Spread' knob was added. It controls a range in which the chosen sample varies randomly. A simple tool to discover new hit patterns
- ready for 'Burn MIDI to' to freeze new hit patterns. To stably replay the burnt pattern, right-click on the instance of FPC inside Patcher, select 'Save preset as' and drag it directly to the Channel Rack. Then copy the burnt notes to this channel
- trigger note was changed to C5, so that hits are triggered by the FL Studio step sequencer without a need for adjustments
- velocity mapping is now spread evenly among the 32 samples, i.e. in case velocity mappings are accidentally changed, just use FPC's 'Spread Even' button to re-assign velocities
