CPU load is jumping through the roof out of the blue

I just opened a project i was working on last night, and as soon as it got to the drop i experienced buffer underrun, and my CPU Load hit 100. I've never had this issue before. My buffer is set to 512, and that is what i usually run when mixing. My sample rate is 48khz and that has not changed. Nothing at all has changed since my last use. My computer specs are AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.59 GHz with 16Gb of ram. I only use this computer for music production, and all my settings are for high performance. My processor is rated around 18,000 on CPU Benchmark. I'm very concerned about this and I hope to find a solution.
