Some Plugins make my sound mono

Hey there,

I've noticed one or two posts on the topic about plugins from other companies doing something similar i.e, they convert the sound into mono.

The plugins in question are from Plugin Alliance. Here's a list of plugins that I've encountered this issue with and the testing I've done. All of these plugins make my stereo tracks sound mono. Imagine if someone used a mid-side plugin and turned the gain of the sides all the way down, that's how it sounds.

1) bx_masterdesk classic
2) bx_masterdesk
3) Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor
4) Black Box Analog HG-2


What's interesting is that I have the same plugins on Pro Tools (AAX) and they sound perfectly normal. I decided to test this further and that is when I found this happens only when using VST2 plugins. The VST3 plugins sounds normal.

On reading through a post on kvraudio, someone suggested that a VST3 plugin followed by a VST2 plugin makes the sound mono, but I was not able to replicate this. The issue occurred even when my VST2 plugin was the last plugin in the chain.

I'm not quite sure why this is happening as I've never experienced this issue before, but it is very annoying as I use FL Studio as my primary DAW.
