Use fixed size buffers

Have you met buggy plugins?

Some of plugins cause CPU 100%.
I know one solution of it.
It is on a plugin setting window, activate
Processing>Use fixed size buffers(for buggy plugins).

Of course I read these optional on Fl Studio manual.

But I can't understand
different of
More>Process maximum size buffers
and
More>Use maximum buffer size from host.

Please teach me about these.
When should I use these options.
