What's up everyone!
First up a bit of backstory. Sienna Collective is a project that started out around three years ago. A couple of people, led by me, met on a Dutch FL Studio forum and we made a track together. Since that first track a few people left "the collective" and we ended up as a duo. Over the past 2½ years we have been working on various tracks and one day we decided to make an album. I can proudly announce that we are going to release "Unity" in June!
I've tried to get the album signed by a label, but without success.. I get all types of reasons why they don't want to do albums. We were not interested in all the label politics involved with trying to sign stuff, just so you can get a few more monthly streams. Honestly, I think we're at a time where labels aren't there for artist anymore to help them grow. They only want to sign you or your tracks when you're already an established name, but since they don't want to help you grow.... It's a paradox. This is my experience at least. (and FYI, I'm talking about labels like Black Hole, Armada, Anjunabeats etc. since the main genre of our sound falls mostly under their sublabels. They also liked to sign individual songs as singles, because ,,the music itself is good'', but we want to release it as an album)
Now! We decided to release our album independently and to get as many people as possible to listen to it we have to think a bit outside the box. Our idea was to release a remix album of "Unity" and we'd like to give you a shot to be featured on it! We'll have more music with our name on it and you'll get more exposure too! Win win. Below you'll find snippets of the tracks that still need a remix.
Since DMs are not possible here: If you like to remix a certain track, please email us at info[dot]siennacollective[at]gmail.com, you'll receive a remix package in return. Deadline is May 31st.
A few more things to know:
- Genre is NOT important.
- We decide what gets on the album, so making a remix does NOT guarantee a spot on the remix album.
- You'll get 50% of the royalties (don't expect much, but still)
- The remix album will be released in July, a month after "Unity"
