Question about mixing

Hi.

I have one question about mixing. I'm making EDM/trance music.

I found some info that the kick should be the loudest instrument.
So I set the kick volume to -6db and other instruments to below -6db.
When I play for example the kick and main lead together they have some overlapping frequencies, so the master volume sometimes reaches -4db.

Should I care about that at the mixing stage?

From my understanding it's natural and such an issue should be fixed during mastering. Am I right?
