Thought someone might be interested in the basic and simple, yet effective method presented by In the Mix (video below) to quickly add atmo to a sound. Frequency-restricted sidechaining of the atmo against the source as well as a post-EQ are also included.
The Patcher presets (Generator and Effect) do not have a Control Surface. You can first focus on the following parameters for sound adjustments:
Fruity Convolver: Blur
- Wet
- Volume envelope
Fruity Limiter
- Gain
- Thresh
- Ratio
- Att
- Rel
- Sustain
SC PEQ2
- HP
- LP
Post PEQ2
- all EQ parameters to shape the atmo result
To unmute/mute the atmo, activate/deactivate (right-click on middle of the cable) the connection from 'Fruity Convolver: Blur' to 'Fruity Limiter: SC'.
Post PEQ2 can also be omitted if using the EQ built into Fruity Convolver.
