set custom delay in FL Studio Patcher via Plugin Delay Compensation

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a preset in the FL Studio Patcher to quickly turn MIDI tools like Sustain on and off. My problem is that my MIDI program has a delay of about 250 ms. This means I first hear the song in FL Studio and then the notes from my external software.

I'd like to set a delay in the Patcher so that the MIDI sound is in sync with the FL Studio song. The best way would probably be to send the delay from the Patcher via Plugin Delay Compensation so FL Studio automatically takes care of it. Does anyone have an idea on how to implement this?

I'm also working on a GUI where I'd like to be able to set the ms via an input field. Additionally, I want a "Hold" button to activate the set delay. When I release the button, the delay should be reset to 0.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I'm using FL Studio 20.

PS: I've attached a screenshot of my current preset.
