Workflow Tips for Midi Heavy Projects

Hi, does anyone have any good resources for workflow tips for MIDI heavy projects? In my case, I use a lot of Kontakt and SampleTank for individual outputs for each track (kick, snare, hh e.t.c on separate mixer tracks for mixing later).

Wondering if there are any composers that use advanced channel racks groups to organize MIDI for piano roll editing? e.g. a channel rack for each type.. one channel rack for MIDI drums, one channel rack for Kontakt drums, one rack for Sampletank drums, one rack for keys? Where I am getting stumped on is, I need to be able to edit midi and view ghost notes in piano roll, so I am doing a lot of merging of MIDI from separate channel racks into one so I can edit it in piano roll and see ghost notes/channels.. and then doing a lot of separating out MIDI into separate channel racks in order to mix it.

Maybe I am missing how FL is designed to properly work with channel racks and piano roll.
