Here's a demo of the problem: I open the project and the screen is black. After changing which effects I chose everything just starts working again suddenly. I even revert back to the original effect and everything works.
However, when I then try to render the project, the output file is also black
The debug log says this when I first open the project. The last lines are errors if that is relevant.
