Couple things to note:
- It's my first time trying to do this kind of thing, hopefully whatever I'm trying to make available here doesn't just cause frustration
- due to my limited understanding of Patcher and formulas, the the "type" lists, like waveform selection, were handled via the "digits" module and included a legend for
what number = what option, as opposed to individual buttons
- Biggest drawback is no Synth1 preset recall from the surface, along with the fact that, even if you just recall a preset from the Synth1 interface, the knobs aren't "live" so they just stay where they were - what you hear and what you see don't match at all. (would be great if there was a way to connect VSTi preset recall and surface knobs updating). The main thing I've been doing with this GUI is just making patches from scratch.
- I made this on a Mac. Not sure if will open properly on a PC? (presumably if you have Synth1 installed it will just find it and maintain all connections?)
- only 2 of the filter modes work on a Synth1 for Mac (known bug) so, along with the option to select any of them, I included a toggle to only go between the 2 that work (LP24 and LPDL)
- Did not include the original's MIDI src/mod-wheel etc options as I couldn't get them to work on the standalone Synth1
- it's easy enough to go in and edit the "skin" of the surface by shift-selecting the elements you want modify (i.e. knobs) and changing the style for them all at once. I'm attaching 2 different look-n-feels.
Again, hopefully helpful to someone, and hoping it's not janky at all and causing grief.
