It would be very cool if there was a way that you could enable a certain number of audio inputs in Patcher without having to send Mixer inserts into the insert that the Patcher preset lives for it to recognize those separate inputs. It would be cool if you could open up that patcher preset, and whatever mixer insert you send to it, it will just go to the next available audio input slot automatically.
As it stands, unless I'm wrong, you have to either:
1. Re-wire the audio inputs inside the Patcher preset every time you load it
2. Create a template where a certain number of inserts are already pre-wired to the Patcher preset that is already in the template.
An alternative would be to allow us to save a Patcher preset along with the group of inserts that are connected to the preset.
It would be nice to be able to share my preset with the Patcher community, but it's just too complicated to set up initially.
