Unable to set sample rate correctly

I am unable to record direct instrument from jack trough scarlet 18i8.

I get error code "the needed sample rate 44100 hz could not be set"

Have changed all drivers and possible devices to 48k and back and made sure they all are the same. Still same problem.

Meters are responding when i connect input (guitar trough jack into scarlet), but still no sound even if i route to other channel.

I can hear everything else
