cant save in fl studio 21.2.3 mac

When I try to save, the "finder" window pops up. When I click save, the finder window turns gray. Once it turns gray, none of the buttons are functional except for the "file format" box. I can't click "cancel" and I can't click 'save" ... FL Studio is stuck after that point. I have to force quit FL Studio. I regret updating. I cannot use FL until this gets fixed.

I am on macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7

My FL Studio version is 21.2.3 [build 5386]

Is there a solution to this problem?
