Fl cloud loops and mixer noise

I open the hip hop trap template in fl and grab a loop from the fl cloud. If it’s hi hats I assign it to the hats channel in the mixer. As soon as I do that the hats sound like an echo reverb crackle. ONLY when I assign it to the mixer channel. This is without me touching ANYTHING else. Yes I’ve turned off any plugins on the channel, the master channel, every channel trying to work backwards to see where it’s coming from. It’s coming from nowhere! It’s random but happens 90% of the time I go to make a beat. This issue is not listed anywhere on Google. It has frustrated me more than ANY other daw I’ve used.
