Would FL Key support user-defined mappings for the pads as well?

Or is it somehow possible while there's no official support for this?
I have made two custom modes for two plugins I use, and they all use pads. I have to keep the Novation Components running in the background so whenever I want to switch to other plugin I switch the custom modes there.
This feels bit cumbersome.

I know you can make mappings for the pots. It's so convenient to be able to use the pots without having to change the custom mode and the current mode on the controller as well. I hope this is possible for the pads as well.
