Sequence could be:
- select all desired clips (or right click on clip corner, then select similar clips),
- RMB click on playlist track to call context menu,
- click "place clips on this track"
and voila: all selected clips are moved vertically (keeping timing) and collected at the lane.
There's much space to go further:
- drag (with modifier key?) a clip or selected clips onto playlist track header (at left part) and magic happens:
- If dragging several selected different clips of different sources, all those selected clips are moved to the track. If dragging one clip (not selection) all clip instances are autoselected and collected at that track.
- If dragging one clip (not several different) - the track is auto-named by this clip
- if dragged between tracks - new track is being inserted, with all actions, described above, applied That doesn't seem very difficult to develop, but not yet implemented AFAIK.
Feature could be helpful, when you have messy arrangement and want to organize your project. (Alt+)Dragging clips to tracks could help do the job much faster.
