24.1 Beta 4 and before - Play not working after play video with VLC

Edit: sorry, this "issue" is also present in the previous release version of FL Studio (v21.2.3), so not related to 24.1

Opened a project made in the beta 3 and it played perfectly in song mode.
But after playing a mkv/mp4 video in VLC player, closing the VLC player, getting back to FL studio, now the play cursor is not moving and song is not played.
Strangely, the time counter does work.

The issue can be reproduced by following the same steps.

Note: the audio device I used to play back the video with DDP5.1 sound, was the same I used in FL studio, but I closed the VLC player before I pressed play in FL studio again.
In the test I used the FL Studio ASIO driver to playback my track via my surround system to check the I my track still sounds good on those systems. Its Denon-ARV output via Nvidia HDMI.

Normally I use my Solid State Logic audio interface & SSL ASIO driver for production and the surround system for the other stuff.
