Piano Roll

Hi

Has anyone come across this before and if so what do I need to do?

I have been inputting notes into the Piano Roll manually, but for some reason I can only input flats / sharps ie the black notes. FL won't let me input a note on a white note. I tried different instruments and even changed the octave in case the instruments I was using were either too low or too high. But it hasn't made any difference. I created a template and imported an audio file into the channel rack and playlist beforehand, as I want to use this as my baseline underlying rhythm. I assume this doesn't have any effect on my inputting notes into the piano roll. what am I doing wrong?
