Free Wasp Alternative?

Some folks want Wasp back, so I am contemplating something. DaHornet/DaHornet Bis would've fulfilled the request, but my family doesn't always want to spend money on something I want. I would like to make a free alternative to Wasp myself, and someone brainstormed Fruity Rumblebee (which should be renamed Fruity Honeybeat as there is already a car called the Rumblebee) as a mockup of a Wasp revival. But did they make the plugin...?

If you found something that could replace Wasp with lots of similarities that is 100% free, I would like to see it.
