My FPC will not record the pads Im playing

I have my FPC up as well as PR and Step Seq. I assign it 3 simple drum hits, press record, and play the drum hits by hand. Press stop and nothing shows up, I can hear the sounds but its like the FL recording does not pick it up.

I have automation, score and record to step seq all checked. I have tryed this with another plugin suck as Fruity DX10 and you can see the setp seq being filled as I play the notes. Just not happening with FPC and not sure why. I would love to play my own drum beats via "By Hand" instead of using the step seq or piano roll. I have no external midi equip hooked up yet, just using the computer keyboard as for now, and yes I have typing keyboad to piano checked. ANY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Also on my FPC the activity meter is not show up when I hit a pad. Not sure why?

Are you using a midi controller or your mouse? ...

I'll admit that this post solved my issue tonig...
