i don't see a MIDI INPUT in Patcher for FX plugins

that's it. I'm opening patcher as a generator OR effect, and when loading FX plugins in it that use midi input, i just see Audio and Parameter inputs. There is no midi option like when you go to the plugin wrapper of the 'naked' plugin. Anyone knows the fix?
