I was chatting with my best friend “Gerald P. Thompson” and we came to the conclusion that the only way to move the playhead is to use a mouse. A keyboard shortcut would be very efficient for those of us who ditched Pro Tools and record in FL.
I’m using a Stream Deck and programmed a bunch of buttons for recording (vocals) in the playlist. I’ve been trying to eliminate using the mouse altogether. Apparently the best solution according to GPT was to use Script Editor (Mac) and create multiple scripts for different timeline locations (e.g., bar 1, bar 5, bar 9). This wouldn’t really help lol
Simply put, I want to be able to record a vocal take, stop (the playhead moves back to the start of the vocal take), push button that moves the playhead forward a bar or two, push button to record, rinse and repeat.
Keyboard Shortcut to move the Playhead forward or backwards one bar/beat
