question about my audio settings

Can you tell me if there is a difference between these methods?
Are both option valid to use?
Or only 1 of them is the right way?

I have Alesis M1Active 520USB speakers, and Behringer UMC1820 audio interface.

Both option works. I'm just wondering if both are correct technically? Like, both would mean the same amount of latency, or one of them introduce more latency?

In case of A, i plug my headphones into the speaker.
In case of B, i plug my headphones into the audio interface.
