I will note that these 2 posts were reported as "trolling". To who did it (you know who you are): What is said in them does not constitute trolling. It's antagonistic and unfortunately an unapologetically pro-AI take, but it's not trolling.

I personally am not a fan of Suno and I freeze at every aspect of the ethical implications of it. Datacenters being build as parasitic additions to existing towns, with gigawatt gas/coal generators attached to cause levels of pollution that would make the entirety of the post-oil-crisis 20th century blush. All to make a buck now. Instead of making that buck when there isn't an energy crisis.

If I have anything to say about it, we should not do anything Suno-like. Generative AI as a creative tool yes, sure. Let me stick a kickdrum I made into an AI to get a variation. I get that. But letting it take the wheel entirely is just not making music IMO.

Same way that throwing a freezer meal into the microwave does not count as cooking in my book.
