Recently I had issues during a Windows update which unfortunately meant I had to reinstall Windows, losing all my applications and third party plugins. I don't remember which folders the plugins were stored in before, nor whether they were .dll or .vst3 plugins. I have reinstalled the plugins (most likely in different folders) and they are successfully detected by the FL Studio Plugin Manager. This means that when I open my projects, I frequently come across the "Plugins could not be opened" error message, and clicking on the missing plugins in the Channel rack just says "This plugin failed to load" without telling me where FL Studio is trying to locate the plugin. I have attached screenshots demonstrating the Play plugin from EastWest as an example.
How can I see the folder where the flp is trying to find a missing plugin?
How can I see if the flp is expecting a .dll or .vst3 plugin?
If these things are possible, my plan would be to move my plugins to the folders in which FL expects them to be present, then rescan them. If anyone has any solutions, I would be most grateful. Thanks!
