[Feature Request] FL Studio 2026 Roadmap: Bridging the Gap to "Top-Tier" Audio Editing

Hi everyone and the Image-Line Team,

Long-time user here. FL Studio is unmatched for creative composition, and the Piano Roll is legendary. However, for those of us who want to stay in FL for full recording and engineering (including vocals, acoustic drums, and complex editing), the audio workflow needs a few specific "power-user" features to truly compete with the editing speed of Pro Tools, Studio One, or Logic.

Here is a summarized wishlist for the next major cycle (FL Studio 2026) to make the Playlist a true "Audio Powerhouse":

ARA2 Support (Crucial): Essential for modern vocal production. We need seamless integration with Melodyne, Vocalign, and Auto-Tune Pro directly on clips. No more capturing audio into transfer windows or relying solely on Newtone.

Phase-Locked Multi-Track Editing: A requirement for recording live drums or bands. We need "Edit Groups" where slicing, slipping, or quantizing one track applies to the whole group instantly to preserve phase coherence.

Modern Comping System: A dedicated "Take Lane" UI with "Swipe-to-Comp" functionality. We need to quickly highlight the best parts of 10 vocal takes and "flatten" them with one click.

Context-Sensitive "Smart Tool": A mouse cursor that changes function based on hover position (Top=Range Select, Bottom=Move/Grab, Edge=Fade/Trim) to reduce clicking and switching tools.

Clip-Based Effects (Object Editing): The ability to apply an EQ or Reverb to a single audio clip/event without routing it to a new mixer insert or using automation.

Inline Elastic Audio: Manually placeable Warp Markers directly on transients in the Playlist to drag-stretch audio to the grid (similar to Ableton or Logic’s Flex Time).

Implementing these would bridge the gap between "Beat Maker" and "Audio Engineer," allowing us to finish massive projects without ever leaving the FL Studio ecosystem.

Thanks for the continuous innovation!
