I have tracks going back over 2 decades.
I've had to reset my PC a few times, and re-install hundreds of plugins.
Some of them are obscure, and get more and more difficult to find as websites disappear, devs go bankrupt, or small independent developers just cannot find the time to keep working on things because they have a family now, or had to get a job.
My situation.....I want to work on a track. It's 5 years old. 3 plugins in that project weren't found. 1 was only a demo, but the other 2 have multiple versions, and FL will only use the specific version that was being used at the time it was saved.
Synapse DuneCM was used, and even though I found the setup file, installed it and thought the case was closed, FL is still saying it's missing because a very specific version was used, and FL doesn't even give me a clue what version that was. To make the situation worse, Dune CM was a computer music magazine exclusive, and appeared on their cover discs. To compound things further, Computer music magazine no longer exists in print form. I do have the discs, but it was probably updated a few times over the course of those disc releases.
Imageline, when you tell us there are plugins missing, can you please give us a little more information, so we're not turning the internet upside-down looking for every version of a vst until we manage to find the correct one ??
