I feel like Image Line has done a lot of amazing stuff lately and I feel like even if they stopped now and didn't provide any updates for the next few years, the DAW would still be the best. That being said I feel like these are the things I would like to see in FL.
1. Auto Color Channels as you add them. Automatically or based on rules you can set per plugin.
2. Full Channel Rack and Playlist intergration into one. (No more pattern and song mode). Or at least an option to select that type of workflow, then each instrument or sample you add will have all the tools.
3. Projects and Documents save folder auto back up feature to selected storages and maybe to cloud if possible.
4. Built in screen recorder.
5. Ability for lock Window positions so you can have mixer and channel rack in one screen but locked so they cannot be accidentally moved and so that scrolling on Channel rack can be smoother while mixer is locked on screen as well.
6. New All-in-one plugins that are like Hypersonic, Omnisphere, Triton, Halion, etc. A super plugin that has all the instruments in it. With real sounding instruments, keyboards, pianos, guitars, brass, human voices, bass and etc all nicely categorised. This one is long overdue.
7. A new plugin for specially designed for meters, analysis, loudness and LUFS.
8. Serious upgrades to plugins like Boo Bass and FL Keys and etc. A lot of these are outdated sonically and quality wise. More realistic sounds are needed now. Upgrades to the other like Fruity Dance.
9. A feature that shows chord names as you play them.
10. More user friendly and updated Video Tools.
11. Easier exporting of all sounds and channels from File Menu, even with no routing to mixer.
12. Separators for Starred/Favourites tab, so you can re arrange the favourites by type of sound. (Maybe an export button as well to to create custom folders).
13. Automatic routing to mixer. Everything that is added will automatically get its own mixer channel and there will no need for routing. These can be assigned to busses and sends that a user can add to the mixer as required. Also these are automatically arranged according to how the channel rack and playlist are arranged. (The channel rack and playlist can also match each other's arrangement and naming if possible or if Number 2 is implemented).
14. Plugin/s that deal specifically with warmth, tape noise and ambiance and more.
15. Ability to manipulate individual sounds in a wave form.
