I recently installed FL studio 2025 version on my Mac. I have been transitioning from the Windows platform to Mac and porting all of my application applications has been quite a journey. One of the concerns I found was related to the installation and use of native instruments plug-ins, which requires an up-to-date version of the "Kontakt" software.
For the past six months I have not been able to use the Kontakt 8 player within Apple studio because every time that I will try to scan for plug-ins this specific plug-in would show up with an error. Unfortunately, Kontakt 7 player does not support any of the updated instruments any longer so I found myself in a predicament.
Anyways, I found the fix to be as simple as changing a setting following the scan of the plug-ins.
Once you have scanned for the plug-ins, if any plug-in is showing an error, simply click on the "plugin" rather than the "options" tab.
Then make sure that the plug-in type is selected as appropriate.
In the case of "Kontakt 8", this is supposed to be reset as a "synth".
I believe this error occurs because of the setting that forces FL studio to verify the plug-ins.
Essentially, the software is unable to verify whether the plug-in was a synth or an effect.
All sorted now and I thought I would just post here because if someone else was having a similar issue and perhaps this could help guide them on how to fix things.
