[macOS] FL Studio 25.2.3.4889 - High CPU spikes, Edison playback & drag/export problems, project compatibility

System Information
OS: macOS Tahoe 26.2
FL Studio version: 25.2.3.4889
Architecture: 64-bit (macOS only)
Computer: MacBook Air M1

Description of the issues

1. High CPU usage and unexpected freezes / crashes
I’m experiencing abnormal CPU load behavior in FL Studio 25.2.3.
The CPU load meter suddenly spikes to very high values (sometimes close to half of the bar).
This happens:
When playing a small fragment of a project
With native plugins and third-party plugins
Even when nothing is playing, without pressing play
Playback frequently stutters or freezes, and in some cases FL Studio closes unexpectedly.
This behavior did not occur with the same projects or plugins in previous FL Studio versions.

2. Spacebar does not work for playback inside Edison
In Edison, the spacebar does not control playback of the audio inside Edison.
Steps:
Open Edison
Click inside Edison to make sure it is focused
Press the spacebar
Result:
Instead of playing the audio in Edison, FL Studio plays the Playlist.
Even when clicking inside Edison with the mouse cursor, the spacebar still does not trigger Edison playback.
Expected behavior:
Spacebar should play/stop audio inside Edison when Edison is focused.

3. Edison “Drag / copy sample / selection” tool behaves incorrectly
The Drag / copy sample / selection tool in Edison is not working as expected.
Example:
After editing audio in Edison, I use the drag tool to:
Drag audio to the desktop, or
Drag it to a user folder inside FL Studio
Issues:
The file does not appear in the destination folder.
However, when searching the file using macOS Finder search, the file exists but is saved in a completely unrelated folder, not the one I dragged it to.
Visually, it looks like nothing happened, which is very confusing.
This tool worked correctly in earlier versions.

4. Project compatibility problem with older FL Studio versions
Because of the issues above, I tried installing older versions of FL Studio to work more stably.
However:
If a project is created or saved in FL Studio 25, it cannot be opened in FL Studio 24.
An error appears saying the project was created with a newer version.
This makes it impossible to temporarily switch to a more stable version, even though FL Studio 24 is not very old.
It feels frustrating to have older versions available but not usable for projects made in FL Studio 25.
It would be extremely helpful if there were better backward compatibility, or at least a way to open projects in a limited/converted mode.

Additional note
All the issues described above did not occur in previous versions of FL Studio.
They started appearing after updating to FL Studio 25.

Thanks to the FL Studio team for reading me.
