Please let us revert the change to the cut tool

I always just pressed shift+left click to cut playlist clips and now I guess they removed that and you have to drag it? I don't really understand why because you could do both before and it feels like they just removed a quality-of-life feature. I mean at the very least I just want an option in the settings to be able to do that again since I'm assuming there was a reason why that was changed.
