Feature Request: Pro Tools-Style Quick Punch / Same Track Recording for Vocal Sessions

As a studio owner and engineer who works with artists daily, one of the biggest features keeping many recording engineers in Pro Tools instead of fully transitioning to FL Studio is the vocal recording workflow, specifically punch-ins.

FL Studio is amazing for production, beat making, creativity, and speed. But for professional vocal recording, especially in fast-paced studio environments, there is one major workflow feature missing:

True Pro Tools-style Quick Punch / Same Track Punch-In Recording

What would make FL Studio much stronger for recording studios:

• The ability to record directly onto the same audio track/lane without constantly creating new clips
• A true Quick Punch mode where engineers can punch in and out during playback seamlessly
• Locked recording lanes/tracks that behave like dedicated audio tracks in Pro Tools
• Better take management and comping for vocal sessions
• The ability to hear surrounding audio naturally while punching specific sections without breaking workflow

In professional studio environments, artists may punch in every few seconds to fix lines, timing, or delivery. In Pro Tools, this workflow feels seamless and fast. In FL Studio, it often becomes more manual due to clip creation and playlist management.

Many engineers love FL Studio and would prefer to stay inside one ecosystem permanently for recording and production. Adding a true studio-grade punch-in workflow would likely convince many studios and engineers to stop moving vocal sessions into Pro Tools.

FL Studio has already become one of the best creative DAWs. This feature could make it a top-tier recording DAW as well.
