Hey Image-line, I'd like to point out that I am seeing more and more communities on discord and youtube of Orchestral composers using FL Studio to score to picture, there is many good ideas in this thread

I'd like to emphasis the need of several things

More than 125 tracks

Disabling tracks Deactivate a group of instruments to save CPU without getting rid of them. I am emulating this at the moment by loading a empty sampler on the track and having the option "auto-rename" turned OFF to keep icons, color and name intact

Hey man, i dig this. A question to ask first though is, "have you ever needed more than 125 mixer tracks?".
Also, if you switch off (via the "solo button) a plugin in the Channel rack, or even an effect on a mixer track, then it is deactivated

A useful tip for switching off all the effects for a mixer track is to click that "space-ship/alien" looking button at the bottom of a mixer track.
This saves a lot of CPU.

yes you need more than 125 when working with orchestral.

I'm makin this template and i've basically run out of mixer tracks. yes each one isn't going to be used all the time but that's not the point of a template. The point is everything is already loaded when you need it. With room to add more.

In this all i've got is a selection of violins 1, violins 2, viola, cello and bass. Barely any brass, woodwinds, no percussion. I've got some busses for each instrument type, and i've got my modular in and outs ready to go.

No room for the rest of the orchestra already.
