FL Studio 2026.1.6 Latest Release [ 7 Sept 2026 ]

[D3Mens]

I've just noticed that dropping a plugin onto the mixer header does
not create a playlist track like the reverse of dropping it onto a playlist
header that creates a mixer track.

It this deliberate or something that can be changed?
Would be great

Dropping it on a mixer track is ambiguous. You may not want to create an audio or instrument track but just want to assign the channel to that track.

Dropping a plugin on the playlist probably means you want to create an instrument track.

Would be nice to have a popup tho. asking if we want a normal channel or instrument track. Same if dropping an audio onto a mixer track.
