Does IMG replace the timbre?

Hi,

what happens to the timbre if importing an audio file to IMG and convert it to an image?

I always though it will create a new timbre with all the harmonic levels of the sample... and that i can save the Timbre 1 harmonic level to .fnv

So what is the IMG doing? Does it play the sample WITH the old timbre or does it replace the timbre with the new sample sound?

they're both multiplied (so it's convolution) ...
