mixing and mastering on fl7...

I am finished with all my tracking and am ready to mix. Any pointers on how to get started with fl. I know how to mix more or less but I am used to analog controls so I suppose my main question is should I just automate everything to correct volume issues, i.e., louder parts than others. I'm not exactly sure what plugins to use for this stuff. As for mastering, I am planning on using maximus but have never done so before, is maximus also good for polishing a track in the mixing process or not? i know this is an open ended question but I am just looking for someone with knowledge in fl to point me in the right direction on maybe the order of operations if you will within fl. Also any pointers on plugins that have noise reduction within fl would be helpful too.
