Midi Keyboard in Morphine

This question can apply to any VST controlled by software, but in my case, it is specifically Morphine I have questions about.

I thought my M-Audio Keystation 61 es auto linked to Morphine. What I mean is, I have some wonderful presets that have pre-configured controls in the Modulation page, where keyboard controls like "CC1 Mod Wheel" controls a function like EG1: Amplitude. Regardless of the assigned parameter, I the Keyboard by default is not controlling these presets effectively. I can assign the controls manually, but I'd like CC1 Mod Wheel to change parameters along with the preset so I don't have to adjust it.

How do I configure this kind of setup, and get Morphine communicating with my Keyboard effortlessly?

Thanks in advance!

Liam

Edit: Here is a picture to help illustrate what I'm trying to do.
